(Tina being sworn in by District 142’s Jason MacAdoo)
May 1, 2025 | Las Vegas, NV
The IAMAW Local 845 is proud to announce Tina Swarner of Alaska Airlines as the new Vice President of our lodge. Tina was appointed by Local 845 President Daria Kemp following the departure of recently elected Vice President Rob Edmonson of American Airlines. Rob has transferred out of Las Vegas to accept a new position with his carrier.
Though Rob’s time as Vice President was brief, his presence and contributions left a strong impression. His dedication and leadership during his short tenure will be missed by his union brothers and sisters, and we thank him for his service to Local 845.
Tina Swarner brings over 20 years of experience with Alaska Airlines to her new role. She began her career in Fairbanks, Alaska, and transferred to Las Vegas in 2024. Throughout her career, she has been a passionate advocate for her coworkers and a dedicated union member.
“I’m honored to step into this role and support the work that President Daria Kemp and our lodge leadership are doing on behalf of all members,” said Swarner. “It’s a privilege to serve Local 845 and represent our members from across the industry.”
Local 845 is excited to welcome Tina into this important leadership position. Her decades of experience and deep commitment to the values of our union make her a valuable asset as we continue fighting for the rights, safety, and dignity of all aerospace and aviation workers in Las Vegas and beyond.
